Questions

Answers, not brochure copy.

The things people actually ask before they give up an evening to come and look at an apartment.

Is the apartment still available?

Yes, as of today it is available from August 31, 2026. It is a 4 bed, 2 bath apartment at $4,450 a month. If you are reading an old listing elsewhere showing a different price, this page is the current one.

How much does it cost to move in?

$8,900 in total: first month's rent of $4,450 and a security deposit of $4,450. There is no last month's rent and no broker fee, because there is no broker.

Is there really no broker fee?

There is no broker fee on either apartment. At this rent a broker fee would normally add about $4,450 to what you pay on the day you move in.

Can four students rent it together?

Yes. Students are welcome and guarantors or co-signers are completely normal for a group lease. Split four ways the rent is about $1,112.50 each per month.

Do you accept housing vouchers?

Yes. We accept housing vouchers and assess affordability on your share of the rent only, as Massachusetts law requires. We do not screen on source of income.

Is parking included?

Yes, one off-street space is included in the rent at no extra charge. That is rare in Jamaica Plain at this price.

Who pays the utilities?

Water and sewer are included in the rent. You pay gas and electricity. The building is new and well insulated, with gas-fired forced air heat.

Is the laundry in the apartment?

Yes, there is a full-size washer and dryer inside the apartment. No basement, no shared machines and no coins.

Are pets allowed?

Cats are welcome, and so are small and medium dogs. Tell us about your animal when you enquire and we will confirm.

How far is the T?

Green Street on the Orange Line is the closest stop and Stony Brook is the next one along, both a short walk. From Green Street it is four stops to Ruggles, six to Back Bay and nine to Downtown Crossing.

Why does the furniture look different in some photographs?

Nine of the photographs are virtually staged, meaning furniture was added digitally so you can judge the scale of the rooms. They are labeled. The apartment is delivered completely empty and nothing structural was altered in the images.

Can I see it before it is available?

Yes. We show it daily, including evenings and weekends, and it is empty so there is no tenant to work around. Ask for a time and we will usually get you in the same week.
