Two 4 bedroom apartments at 285 Lamartine Street, Jamaica Plain
A three-unit building put up in 2024, a short walk from the Green Street Orange Line. Two of the three apartments are available from August 31, 2026. Each takes a full floor: four real bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a washer and dryer inside the apartment, central air, private outdoor space and one off-street parking space included.
No broker fee and no last month's rent, so moving in costs twice the rent rather than the four times that is normal in Boston at this price.
The two apartments
About the building
Three stories finished in 2024, one apartment to a floor, in blue-grey clapboard with white trim. Bay windows stack up the front of the building, which is what makes the living rooms as bright as they are. There is a paved walkway and planted beds at the front, lantern lighting either side of the entry, and a fire department connection on the front wall, which is the visible half of the full sprinkler system running through the building.

Common questions
Is the apartment still available?

How much does it cost to move in?
$8,900 in total: first month's rent of $4,450 and a security deposit of $4,450. There is no last month's rent and no broker fee, because there is no broker.
Is there really no broker fee?
There is no broker fee on either apartment. At this rent a broker fee would normally add about $4,450 to what you pay on the day you move in.
Can four students rent it together?
Yes. Students are welcome and guarantors or co-signers are completely normal for a group lease. Split four ways the rent is about $1,112.50 each per month.
Do you accept housing vouchers?
Yes. We accept housing vouchers and assess affordability on your share of the rent only, as Massachusetts law requires. We do not screen on source of income.
